Buenos minions,

Today is less an account of the gruelling second leg of the journey from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil to Baños in Ecuador by bus overland than an account of the various head states and emotions one encounters during a three day journey with no proper bed. Crossing two international borders, taking three buses and a taxi. Game on.

Normally I start a journey like this well rested and eager for the off. The general buzz of nervous energy when setting out for new places and adventures is like a drug. Keeping me sedate and happy for large periods of time. This was different. This was a marathon bus journey. The mindset has to be altered.
