As opening lines to films go, this is one of my favourites. For The Wolf of Wall Street it seems appropriate, in one sentence summarising the greed and excess that run throughout the film.
Showing the life and times of Jordan Belfort, The Wolf of Wall Street is a manic three hours of drink, drugs, fast cars, beautiful women and money. Lots and lots of money.
The performances are excellent, Leonardo DiCaprio struts around the screen oozing the charisma of a man who’s successfully conned millions of dollars out of people. The surprise for me was Jonah Hill who moves away from the comic performance we’re used to in this film.
