‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ trailer: Jamie Foxx’s Electro shocks New York

Jamie Foxx’s Electro takes center stage  in a new international trailer for director Marc Webb’s superhero sequel, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”

Electro greeted comic book readers in 1964 as an electrician named Max Dillon who gains the ability to generate and control electricity after he’s struck by lightning while repairing a power line. But in the upcoming film, Foxx’s Dillon is a meek Oscorp employee who becomes obsessed with Spider-Man after the hero saves his life — and he uses his high-voltage powers to wreak havoc on the streets of New York.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” star Andrew Garfield reprises his role as teenage hero Peter Parker, and the film’s cast also includes Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Paul Giamatti as the Rhino, Dane DeHaan (“Chronicle”) as rich boy Harry Osborn, son of Chris Cooper’s Norman Osborn, who, fans will remember, is the head of Oscorp Industries and becomes…
