Embracing Fear


Fear is a strange thing. On one hand, we hate our fears. I mean, who doesn’t hate their fear of spiders? Who enjoys the distress that comes with the thought of death? No one, right? Given the opportunity, I’m sure every single one of us would happily banish such fears from existence. However, the strange thing about fear is that, beneath the surface, we secretly crave it. For some bizarre reason, we’re attracted to that feeling of terror. It gets the blood pumping and sharpens the senses. In video games, there’s nothing quite like a fear-inducing moment.
