One of the many worthy candidates in this year’s award season, Nebraska is a film that deals heavily with human interaction, and character relations. It has bold performances from each member of the cast, and they have been rightfully recognized for their work, in addition to the excellent script.

As with his other films, Alexander Payne’s work continues to rely heavily on the dialogue between characters, and how they relate to one another throughout the film. Payne has previously worked on a handful of Oscar nominated films including The Descendants, Sideways, and About Schmidt.

The film is also anchored by a strong cast including veteran Bruce Dern, and dramatic newcomer Will Arnett, who is known for his days on Saturday Night Live.
